What does an AI content system actually cost?

What the market charges today

Before our numbers, the context you should price us against. For getting social content made in 2026, a business realistically has three options.

Hire in-house. Glassdoor data puts a US social media specialist at roughly $4,700 per month in salary alone, before benefits, tools, and management time.1 For most small businesses this is the best output quality and the least defensible math.

Hire an agency or freelancer. Sprout Social’s pricing research puts basic social media management programs at $500 to $5,000 per month, with freelancers ranging $20 to $150 per hour depending on experience.1 Quality varies as widely as the price.

Do it yourself with AI tools. The subscriptions are cheap: $20 to $100 a month. The real cost is your hours, the learning curve, and the quality risk of shipping unreviewed AI output, which has its own guide and its own court case.

$500-5,000

per month is the going range for basic outsourced social media management, per Sprout Social’s 2026 pricing guide.1 Keep that range in mind as you read ours.

Our numbers, all of them

The Social Content OS is a managed system: AI agents draft in your calibrated voice, a human reviews every asset, and ready-to-post content arrives on schedule. Launch pricing:

Starter: 10 ready-to-post assets per month$49/month
Growth: 30 assets per month, the “post daily” tier$99/month
Scale: 60 assets per month, multi-platform$199/month
One-time setup: brand voice calibration and system configuration$99-299
One asset means one ready-to-post design with one caption for one platformNo hidden math

Two related numbers for completeness: support beyond the plan runs $125/hour, and monthly care plans for privately built systems start at $199/month. Private Agentic OS builds, where you own the whole system, run $750 to $2,500 one-time, but that is a different product with its own page.

Why is this an order of magnitude under the agency range? Not because the work is worse. Because the repetitive 80% of the work, planning, drafting, and formatting, is done by systems we already built and reuse across clients. You are not paying anyone to do repetition by hand, and that discount is the entire business model.

Where the money actually goes

The uncomfortable industry secret is that the AI is the cheapest ingredient. On our own stack, the model costs behind a month of content run in the tens of dollars.2 What your subscription actually buys, in descending order of cost: human review time on every single asset before delivery, the setup-and-calibration work that makes drafts sound like you instead of like LinkedIn’s average, system maintenance when APIs and platforms change under us, and only then the compute.

This is also the honest way to evaluate any competitor: ask what percentage of their price is human review. If the answer is zero, you are buying raw model output with a markup, and the Air Canada precedent should make you nervous about shipping it.

The three things that change the price

Volume moves you between tiers: the marginal cost of asset 31 is genuinely lower than asset 1, which is why 60 assets does not cost six times 10. Setup complexity moves the one-time fee within its $99-299 band: one brand with an existing content archive calibrates fast; multiple brands, thin archives, or heavy compliance needs take longer. And special formats, video scripts, long-form articles, and campaign work, are quoted separately because they break the one-asset math.

What does not change the price: asking questions, requesting revisions inside the review loop, or canceling. Month to month, no lock-in, and you keep every delivered asset forever. If the math still looks unclear for your case, the free ROI calculator will run it with your numbers, and the free audit will tell you honestly if you are one of the businesses that should not buy this yet.
